Dr. Freeman founded the All American Small Business Exporters Association (AASBEA) in 1998 in order to share her global experience of more than 25 years in more than 100 countries.
Dr. Freeman began her international consulting career with Booz, Allen & Hamilton, and subsequently worked for the U.S. Government in various senior positions in organizations involved in trade and development. After serving in the Diplomatic Service for five years in Hong Kong, Dr. Freeman formed the Lark-Horton Connections Limited firm in Hong Kong, as a partnership with Lark International. After 12 years in Hong Kong, Dr. Freeman formed the Lark-Horton Global Consulting firm - specializing in economic development - which has been retained virtually all of the leading development institutions including the World Bank, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the African Development Bank (AfDB), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the InterAmerican Development Bank (IDB), the United National Development Program (UNDP), and others. Sharon and Jacqueline have worked together for nearly fifteen years on various projects, particularly in Jacqueline’s former position with NYNEX in Asia. They continue to collaborate on international development opportunities and share global networks.
